Topakustik Panels Provide The Acoustic Control In The University Of Oxford’s New Weston Library
The University of Oxford’s Weston Library has reopened to academics following an £80m refurbishment.
The library, formerly known as the New Bodleian, has three new reading rooms, research and teaching facilities and storage for the library’s valuable special collections.
Wilkinson Ayre Architects specified Swiss Topakustik slotted timber acoustic panels supplied by their sole UK Distributor Acoustic Products Ltd to provide acoustic control in a number of important areas.
Over 700 Sq M of painted and veneered Topakustik panels and U-shaped ceiling rafts were installed in public circulation areas and in the lecture theatre.
