Top Project - September 2022

The Hong Kong Palace Museum finally open a new ”branch” in the West Kowloon Cultural District of Hong Kong. The architect firm lead by Mr. Rocco Yim has successfully retains many details that reflects the Forbidden City in Beijing, while using new materials and way of expression with 3D building technology. Like ceiling and wall elements, Rocco Yim recreates a sense of dynamism in barrels shape design, referencing from Chinese glazed roof tiles. In the design of Auditorium, we were able to engineer 3D shapes and double curved acoustic panel that achieve both the acoustic consultant needs and a harmonised design shape with the whole project. TOPPERFO Micro perforations on ceiling, as well as the Split design on wall are acoustically tested both in laboratory and onsite, to make sure every design details are fully functional and follows the architect team’s high expectation.
